Biography

Michael Moog de Medici is a multi-talented artist with a diverse background in music, acting, and media production. Born on January 27, 1965, in Wiesbaden, Germany, he comes from a family of artists with Italian and French roots. His grandmother, classical singer Martha Ruhl, played a pivotal role in nurturing his early interest in music.At the age of six, Michael displayed remarkable talent by winning first prize at a local piano competition with his rendition and variations of a Beethoven Sonata. His journey into the world of music continued as he became a part of the opera at the Hesse State Theatre, where he sang the boy soprano part of Harry Wood in Benjamin Britten's opera "Albert Herring" from 1976 to 1977.As an eight-year-old, Michael began studying piano and composition at the Richard Meissner Conservatory. During his teenage years, he expanded his artistic horizons by studying acting and speech at a local acting school. In 1988, he made a significant move to the United States, where he later became a United States Citizen. Over the course of 25 years, he worked as a music producer, composer, actor, and singer,leaving his mark on both the American and German entertainment industries.In Germany, he made appearances in several films and television shows, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

Residing in Palm Beach, Florida, Michael was not only a licensed Real Estate Broker and Investor until 2010 but also established his own publishing company and music label, Moog Music BMI, under the umbrella of Michael Moog Enterprises Inc. He introduced his classical oboe concerts - QUEST, HOPE,FAITH, and JOY - with oboist H. David Meyers at prestigious venues like the Kennedy Center in Washington and the Palm Beach Opera under the baton of Maestro Anton Guadagno.

A remarkable highlight in his career was the Gala Concert at the White House in Washington on the Fourth of July in 2002, featuring H. David Meyers. He was encouraged by Jazz legends such as Frank Sinatra, Buddy Greco, Lester Lanin, and Cliff Ayers to create the Palm Beach Society Swing in 1999.[1] For his contributions to American Big Band music, he was inducted into the American Big Band Hall,Palm Beach Chapter, as a songwriter by Sally Bennett and Cliff Ayers.Further expanding his influence, Michael joined the Entertainer Network USA and Esmerald Records Nashville as a producer. In 2010, Michael relocated to his family home in Germany with his wife Pia, a Swedish actress and MSGU Miss Sweden, and their children. Together, they founded Moog de Medici Media, an international media consultancy company.Between 2015 and 2018, Michael took on the role of a principal actor in several plays at the "Akzent Theatre" in Wiesbaden, Germany, and also lent his voice for voiceovers.[2] His autobiographical novel, "Der Prinz von Palm Beach" (The Prince of Palm Beach)[3], was introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt International Bookfair in its German version, with an English version currently in the works.In 2020, Michael showcased his acting skills by portraying the police chief in the movie "Irrtum der and the character Judge Pattern in the western film "Minnesota Clash."In 2021, he was elected Mister German Sport by the MGSU family.Looking ahead to 2023, Michael is set to be the star and music producer of a new Television Music Series titled "Liebe Grüße aus (with love from...)," produced and directed by filmmaker Christian Peschken. The series is filmed on location in beautiful towns in Germany. He will perform songs that he has personally arranged. An English language version of the series is also in development.Michael maintains a home in the USA and divides his time between the United States and Germany. As of early 2023, he is exclusively represented and managed by his longtime friend and business partner,German filmmaker Christian Peschken.
