Michael Baumgarten got into showbusiness with film and television productions that involved Disney/MGM Studios and Universal Studios Florida.[1] He was a script reader, executive assistant, and Director for Acquisitions of Legacy Releasing.[2] He produced the movie Red Sun Rising and the movie Wedding Blue Bells.[3] Michael released the film Shiloh starring Golden Globe nominee Scott Wilson, Emmy winner Michael Moriarty, and Oscar winner Rod Steiger.[4]
The Martial Arts Kid was written and directed by Michael Baumgarten,[5] starring Don "The Dragon" Wilson and Cynthia Rothrock.[6] The Martial Arts Kid movie was featured at the 2018 Universe Multicultural Film Festival.[7] This movie was co-produced by Michael Baumgarten and got first place and won the Platinum Remi Award at the 48th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.[8]
