Mevi Kalan is a small village of 374 hectares in Desuri Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mevi Kalan depends on Sadri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 72.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mevi Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mevi Kalan's pin code is 306022[4], and village code is 02455700.
