Merwara Kala is a small village of 179 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Merwara Kala depends on BHARAOLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Merwara Kala's pin code is 277501[4], and village code is 09207800. The area of Merwara Kala is segregated as 98.68 hectares irrigated area, 72.376 hectares unirrigated area. the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 2.944 hectare area not available for cultivation.
