Mental Health Navigators is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of parents helping other parents and care givers with a child experiencing a mental health issue. Through the organization's website found at www.mentalhealthnavigators.org,[1] Mental Health Navigators provides free online support and acts as a bridge connecting parents to mental health resources.[2]

Serving parents globally, Mental Health Navigators provides an online community discussion forum and free, live, anonymous help. In addition, Mental Health Navigators provides a free, powerful Mental Health Search Engine where users can search for mental health information and sourced articles, parent guides, local expert help and resources, school and university resources, and more.

The organization was founded by parents in Minnetonka, Minnesota [3] following a series of tragedies in the community. It is staffed by a global team of volunteers and daily helps hundreds of parents who are dealing with a child's mental health issue.

There are many organizations whose mission it is to help those experiencing a mental health issue. Mental Health Navigators, however, is solely devoted to the often lonely and frustrating experience of parents who are dealing with a child's mental health journey. Nearly 25% of today's youth struggle with their mental health and parents need a non-judgmental place to share concerns openly and honestly with empathetic peers. As the Community Forum is staffed by parents with children who have experienced their own mental health challenges, volunteers can also share their experiences, provide ideas, and offer local resources.
