Meniya is a small village of 922 hectares in Railmagra Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of , India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Meniya depends on RAJSAMAND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 13.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Meniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Meniya's pin code is 313329[4], and village code is 03030200. The area of Meniya is segregated as 13 hectares irrigated area, 537 hectares unirrigated, the 199 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 173.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rajsamand to sell earthen pot and make their living.
