Melissa Bonny (born 23 January 1993 in Montreux, Switzerland) is a Swiss singer, songwriter and composer. She is best known for her symphonic power metal band Ad Infinitum.[1] and as the lead vocalist for the bands Evenmore and Rage of Light. She has also appeared as a guest vocalist for bands like Dragonland, Serenity, Warkings and Beneath My Sins.[2][3]

Career

Evenmore (2012–2018)

Melissa joined the symphonic folk metal band Evenmore in 2012. That gave her the opportunity to support bands like Eluveitie, Lacuna Coil or Xandria and to release her creativity by writing music.[4]

Rage of Light (2015–present)

Trance metal band Rage of Light, created by Jonathan Pellet, came into existence in 2015, when he recruited Melissa and the guitarist Noé Schüpbach. In 2018 they signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records.[5]

Ad Infinitum (2018–present)

Ad Infinitum is the result of Melissa's desire to create her own music. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign[6], she joined forces with Niklas Müller, Adrian Theßenvitz and Jonas Asplind and after signing a deal with Napalm Records in 2019[7], they released their first album, Chapter I: Monarchy, in April 2020[8]
