Melauli is a small village of 1629 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Melauli depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Melauli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Melauli's pin code is 403506[5], and village code is 00018400. The area of Melauli is segregated as 29.42 hectares irrigated area, 1364.56 hectares unirrigated, the 14.69 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 139.09 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Melauli has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Melauli is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 1636 and has total administration over 346 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VALPOI and North Goa to sell sugarcane and make their living.
