Mehri Purohitan is a small village of 702 hectares in Sardarshahar Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mehri Purohitan depends on SARDARSHAHAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mehri Purohitan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mehri Purohitan's pin code is 331403[4], and village code is 00606900. The area of Mehri Purohitan is segregated as 646 hectares unirrigated, the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 27 hectare area not available for cultivation.
