Mehmet Fehmi Ulgener ( Born 20 March 1960) is a Turkish maritime lawyer [1] [2] . From 1986 to 2012, he taught at Istanbul University Faculty of Law, where he was appointed as a professor of maritime law in 2000. Between 2005 and 2012, he was the Head of the Department of Maritime Law at Istanbul University [3]. He has been representingTurkey in the Documentary Committee of BIMCO since 2002 [4]. He is also the legal adviser to the Turkish Chamber of Shipping as well as the Shipowners Association of Turkey [5]. In many Turkish Court of Cassation decisions, there has been a reference to his articles and books.
