Mehmauni is a small village of 223.4 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mehmauni depends on kaptanganj, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Mehmauni's pin code is 276141[4], and village code is 08722100. The area of Mehmauni is segregated as 235.19 hectares irrigated area, 18.2 hectares unirrigated area. the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 3 hectare area not available for cultivation.
