Meer Mir Muhammad Khan Talpur (born 1924) in Tandojam, Sindh was the first General Secretary of Sindh by the Pakistan People's Party and was one of the founding members of the Pakistan People's Party. He acquired his early life education from his hometown. His political interest grew at a young age as he was exceptionally inspired by his uncle Mir Dost Ali Talpur, who was an active politician and was a member of the Indian National Congress and is known for his time spent with Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi together in jail. Mir Muhammad was known and famous by the name of Comrade. Tandojam has been a base of the Sindh Haari (farmers) committee. Comrade's active politics started when he joined the Khaksar Tehreek in 1938 and later joined the Sindh Haari Community. He also played a vital role in Pakistan People's Party's success in Sindh. He was very down to earth and was very straightforward and spoke truth. He was a close companion of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Hakim Ali Zardari as well. He started making urban developments in his hometown in terms of health, education, water resources, etc. He went to jail numerous times, beginning from the British Raj in the subcontinent. He wrote four. books KARA MUNH ACHHA MUNH(White faces and black faces), KANEEN BUDHO AKHEEN DITHO(Whatever heard and seen), and PUCHHANO(Accountability). His books are also present in the London Library, London. He has the honour to work with G.M Syed, Fatima Jinnah and was on friendly terms with Abdul Hameed Bhashani, Khan Gaffar Khan, Nawab Akbar Bugti, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Nawab Khair Bux Marri. Talpur died on 16 April 2013 at Talpur House Tandojam.
