Medas is a small village of 1413 hectares in Merta Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Medas depends on Merta City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 108.64% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Medas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Medas's pin code is 341518[4], and village code is 01842200. The area of Medas is segregated as 508 hectares irrigated area, 796 hectares unirrigated, the 62.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 46 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Medas has One post office (Medas B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Medas has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Medas is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 931 and has total administration over 176 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Merta City and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
