Mayra González is a Mexican business executive. She was the President and Managing Director of Nissan México from January 2014 until 2016.[1] She is the first woman and youngest business leader within the Nissan group.[2][3] As car manufacturer's top executive in the country, she is an advocate of diversity as she announced her plans on International Women’s Day to expand the leadership roles at Nissan Mexico to be held by women by 20%.

She was recognized by Fortune as 21st Most Powerful Woman in 2018 [4][5]


González started at the company as a salesperson at an automotive dealership which later led her to working in sales at Nissan in 2001. Eleven years later, she climbed her way to become the first woman on the company’s operations committee in 2012.

In 2016, she then became the first female president and youngest executive of a country subsidiary.[6][7]
