Mayaja is a small village of 607 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mayaja depends on KESHORAIPATAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Mayaja is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mayaja's pin code is 323602[3], and village code is 02747800. The area of Mayaja is segregated as 295.81 hectares irrigated area, 124.95 hectares unirrigated, the 79.21 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 106.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mayaja has One post office (Maiza B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Mayaja has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Mayaja is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1960 and has total administration over 388 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KESHORAIPATAN and Bundi to sell earthen pots and make their living.
