Mawi Kalan is a small village of 782.9 hectares in Baraut Tehsil in Bagpat district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mawi Kalan depends on Aminagar Sarai , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mawi Kalan's pin code is 250609[4], and village code is 01052300. The area of Mawi Kalan is segregated as 534 hectares irrigated area. the 2.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 534.44 hectare area not available for cultivation.
