Mavai is a small village of 121.9 hectares in Baberu Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mavai depends on kamasin, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mavai's pin code is 210125[4], and village code is 04816800. The area of Mavai is segregated as 65.57 hectares irrigated area, 70.85 hectares unirrigated area. the 13.36 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 4.85 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mavai is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1301 and has total administration over 207 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of kamasin and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
