Mau is a small village of 457.7 hectares in Khair Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mau depends on Khair (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mau's pin code is 202135[4], and village code is 01298200. The area of Mau is segregated as 412.81 hectares irrigated area, remaining 45 hectare area not available for cultivation.
