Career

Early stage and Reo Daje Forte project

Passionate about music, from an early age he listened to rap, which influenced his later dance music productions.[1]

In 2005 he began producing music under the pseudonym Reo[2], organizing and playing at illegal Rave|rave parties around Italy and Europe. In 2008, during a Hardtechno|hard-techno event in Toulouse, he met Franc@ (Francesco de Rosa) and Talasemik (Dimitri Fidel) and together they found the collective Daje Forte..[3] The aim was to create a connection between Italy and France and at the same time to propose new techno sounds on the European scene. Together they performed in Italy, where they were the main representatives of hardfloor / Hardtechno|hard-techno music, and around Europe[4] playing in many locations, including Brussels, Vilnius, London, Liège and Monegros. Two years later, in 2010 he released the underground tracks 'Reo - Talasemik Rock's' included in 'Hardfloor 10' (Le Diable au Corps), Reo vs Teotk 'Here Foreva', the tribecore track 'Never go Soft' included in 'Le Diable Corps au Corps 13'. They also found the label Daje Forte Records, an Italian response to the European dominance of the hard-techno scene.

The following year he released the track 'Cidade de Deus' that was included in Hardcore 11 (Le Diable au Corps) and from a collaboration between Astrofonik and Daje Forte the formed Headshot Records which aimed to give visibility to new talent on the techno underground scene. The album 'Astroboy 19' which contains the tracks 'Electric Jesus', 'Cocaine Cowboy' and 'Niggas in Paris', was released in 2012'[5]

Finally in 2013 it was the turn of 'Fook yo First' hard-techno remix of the hip hop song 'Fook jullie naaiers' by Die Antwoord.[6]

Back2Rave

In 2011, in parallel to Reo, he started a new project which remained active until 2015. Together with Matteo Scartoni they formed Back2Rave giving a purely EDM key to their music.

In 2012 they released an EP which includes the tracks 'Bouncing Betty' (played during the UK program The Never Say Die Tour 09)[7] and 'Shake Funk'. Their original mixes 'My Sick Side', 'Sabotage' and 'Renegade' (in collaboration with Xanti) reached the top 100 (#61, #89, and #66 respectively) of Beatport's electro house chart. Their tracks and remixes have been supported by international artists such as Afrojack, Danny Ávila|Danny Avila, Firebeatz, Deniz Koyu, Vinai|Vinaii, Joachim Garraud and Don Diablo.[8]Their songs have also been played at the Ministry of Sound in London and the Miami Winter Music Conference.[9] 'The song 'Sabotage' was chosen to be part of the Geordie Shore soundtrack in season eight episode #2[10],'whilst 'My Sick Side' was designated as the opening track of the Opening GQ Podcast - Electro House Mix & Lets be Friends Guest mix ep.10..[11]
