Matera is a small village of 797 hectares in Phulera (Hq.Sambhar) Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Matera depends on Sambhar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 138.82% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Matera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Matera's pin code is 303338[4], and village code is 01505300.
