Mate Ka Tala is a small village of 1780 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mate Ka Tala depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mate Ka Tala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mate Ka Tala's pin code is 344702[4], and village code is 02250300. The area of Mate Ka Tala is segregated as 1668 hectares unirrigated, the 76 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.
