Massoud Molavi Vardanjani (April 17, 1986–14 November 2019) was a former member of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.[1] He was assassinated by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence in Istanbul, Turkey.[2] his telegram channel, Black Box, revealing confidential information about the financial corruption and crimes of the Islamic Republic's intelligence agencies, Seyed Ali Khamenei and His son Mojtaba Khamenei. This channel has not been updated since Molavi was killed.[3] Two Iranian diplomats were involved in the assassination, and the Iranian consulate in Turkey was the headquarters of the operation.[4][5] U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States believes that the same group behind the assassination of Massoud Molavi was previously responsible for the multiple killings of dissidents in Turkey.[6] The team was later arrested by Turkish police.[7]
