In April 2022, then 12 year old Masha Moskalyova was reported to police by her school teacher for making an anti-war drawing against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Subsequently, her father Alexey Moskalyev was investigated and arrested by both Russian police and the Federal Security Service.[1] Masha has since been sent to an orphanage.[2]
