Masafumi Mima is the current representative director of Techno Sound.[1] He was born in Japan. Recently he has directed the audiography of Attack on Titan (season 4).[2] Aside from this he served as the sound director for some famous anime series' like Attack on Titan (season 3),[3]Attack on Titan (season 2),[4] and Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card.[5]

Early Life

As a student Masafumi Mima worked part-time at Nippon Cultural Broadcasting where he assisted production of radio-dramas.[6] Masafumi Mima graduated in 1984. After graduation, he joined Magic Capsule where his relative Aketagawa Susumu was the representative director.[7] He became a freelanced after serving for 12 years in Magic Capsule in January, 1996. After a year he joined Techno Sound. In 2004 he became the representative director. [1]


Masafumi Mima's first work as a sound director was for OVA Madonna: Honoo no Teacher in 1998. He has been credited with 46 albums and 8 products.[8] Additionally he also continued as the sound director for Pokémon Pocket Monsters which premiered in November, 2019.[9]
