Martin Rethmann (* August 1969 in Münster, Germany) is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rethmann SE & Co. KG. He lives with his family on a farmstead in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Career
Martin Rethmann grew up with his three brothers in a catholic entrepreneurial family in Selm. His parents are Norbert and Irmgard Rethmann.[1]
He studied at the Department of Political Science (Otto Suhr Institute) at the Free University of Berlin (Dipl. pol.) and subsequently obtained a doctorate there while working (Dr. phil.). After completing his studies, he joined his parents' company, where he was initially responsible for his family's agricultural activities.[2]
Since 1998, he has represented the interests of the entrepreneurial family on various committees and supervisory boards, in particular the supervisory board of RETHMANN SE & Co. KG, which he has chaired since 2009.[3]
