Martin Di Maggio, born in 1981, is an Arbëresh sociolinguistics whose research focuses on the Arbëresh language of Piana degli Albanesi and Santa Cristina Gela (his heritage village). He graduated with a Masters in Language Documentation and Description from SOAS University of London in 2018, and is currently undertaking PhD research at Goldsmiths University of London., .[1][2] He also has an active Youtube channel dedicated to the topic of the Arberesh language,[3] and is an active member of Cademia Siciliana where he has published work.[4]
