Marshall Wilkinson is an American entrepreneur, business strategist, and the founder of ALP (Altitude. Logic. Pressure), a business education and consulting company. He has overseen and negotiated to over $2.5 billion in construction by the age of 38,[1] and is known for his expertise in negotiation, marketing, sales psychology, and business growth. Through ALP, Wilkinson has helped train entrepreneurs across industries, with client businesses generating hundreds of millions in revenue.[2]
Early life and education
Wilkinson was born in Bay Shore, New York in 1982 and raised in Suffolk County, later relocating to Garden City. His father Robert Wilkinson was a New York City contractor and construction manager. Wilkinson later pursued formal education at Harvard University, including the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, the Program on Leadership Development at Harvard Business School, and advanced training at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London.
Career
Wilkinson began his career as a Construction Risk Manager at Hazen and Sawyer,[3] then served as Vice President at Nautilus Consulting, and later as Director of Contracts and COO at Eldor Contracting Corp. His work spans public and private infrastructure including:
- Paerdegat Basin Combined Sewer Overflow Facility[4]
- Wards Island Wastewater Treatment Plant[5]
- Tallman Island WPCP, Contract TI-3[6]
At Eldor, Wilkinson also negotiated and managed the Shoreham Solar Commons project in partnership with Invenergy.[7][8]
ALP and consulting work
In 2019, Wilkinson founded ALP (Altitude. Logic. Pressure), a business education company offering daily coaching calls, weekly group sessions, and sales, negotiation, and marketing training. ALP's programs have been credited by clients with scaling their businesses significantly.[9]
He also founded and exited the construction software company Athena in 2024, which automated project estimation and takeoffs.
