Marra is a small village of 327 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Marra depends on REIS MAGOS, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Marra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Marra's pin code is 403517[5], and village code is 00005700. The area of Marra is segregated as 185.65 hectares unirrigated, the 65.66 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 75.25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Marra has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Marra has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Marra is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 1988 and has total administration over 516 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of REIS MAGOS and North Goa to sell wooden furniture and make their living.
