Markhi is a small village of 633 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Markhi depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 375.42% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Markhi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Markhi's pin code is 303601[4], and village code is 01472900. The area of Markhi is segregated as 375.42 hectares irrigated area, 85 hectares unirrigated, remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.
