Margaret A. Donnelly born on February 26, 1949, is a political activist, immigration attorney, and author of historical fiction. Born in San Tomé, State of Anzoategui, Venezuela, she is an Citizenship of the American citizen. She holds a doctorate in law from the University of Texas in Austin. In the year 1999, she ran for Dallas, Texas, mayor. In recognition of their work in the community, League of United Latin American Citizens awarded the Presidencial Medal to Community Service in 2006. Since 1976, she has been a member of Texas' immigration lawyers' bar. In the category of Historical Fiction Novel at the 9th International Latino Book Awards in New York City in 2007, his book El Canto de los Gallos de Oro (The Song of the Goldencocks) received honorable mention.
Biography
She began practicing immigration and nationality law in 1980. She has been certified in immigration and nationality law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1988. She has worked at Donnelly & friends, professional employer (Dallas, Texas) specializing in Immigration, Nationality and business international regulation. In 2006, she received the Presidential Medal for Community Service from the League of United Latin American Citizens of the United States (League of United Latin American Citizens) in recognition of her community service. She has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1976. She ran for mayor of Dallas, Texas in 1999[1]. She is the author of several books such as the novel "The Song of the Goldencocks"[2] which received an honorable mention in the historical fiction category at the 9th Annual International Latino Book Awards in New York (state)|New York in 2007[3] She was nominated for the Swedish Right Livelihood Foundation Award, known as the Alternative Nobel Peace Prize, for her community work.
