Marcus McCoan is best known for his co-writing and production of several songs on both of BTS' best selling albums Map of the Soul: Persona, and Map of the Soul: 7.
Background
Marcus McCoan is a singer, songwriter and producer from Cornwall, UK. Marcus's most well known work to date is the song-writing and production work he contributed to BTS albums Map of the Soul: Persona and Map of the Soul: 7. Jamais Vu and Mikrokosmos.[1] . Marcus has also worked with Big Hit Entertainment on the solo project for V (singer) called "Winter Bear" which currently has 63 million views on YouTube.
Marcus has played various shows and festivals in the UK[2] supporting acts such as Rudimental , Rag'n'Bone Man , Rae Morris ,
Gabrielle Aplin , Rhodes (singer) , Patti Russo , Sunset Sons and Newton Faulkner.
The first release from his own artist project was in 2016 titled "Chemical" which was an independent release. "Chemical" garnered the attention of
BBC Radio Cornwall and BBC Radio 1 leading to him performing on multiple stages at Glastonbury Festival 2016 including the coveted BBC introducing Stage[3].
Marcus signed to Twin Records in 2017 which was followed by the release of his next single "Hairdown" and "Hairdown (stripped version)"[4].
2019 saw Marcus collaborate with Liv Lovelle on a range of covers, one of which was played on Love Island UK.
In 2020 Marcus collaborated on Harley Fvcking Quinn which was released through Magic Records and Nightblue Records. It has currently reached almost 3 million listens on Spotify, 10 million of YouTube and used on over 2000 TikTokvideos. The song exploded in the Cosplay community.
