Gabriel Marcelo García Rodríguez (born May 27, 1988 in Monterrey, Nuevo León) is a Mexican cartoonist, designer, illustrator, musician, composer and singer. Best known for his Artistic name Marcelo Seltzer[1]. His music is a blend of dream pop and indie pop with psychedelic and folk elements, and sometimes with ambient textures. [2]

His style as a cartoonist and visual artist passes through pop art to psychedelia and surrealism.

Biography

Marcelo Seltzer was born in Monterrey, Mexico. Where he grew up and develop interest for arts and music very early. He graduated from ITESM and got his degree on Arts and digital animation. He started making music and released his first three albums and work as an illustrator under the name Seltzer on his college days and some of the following years. He eventually, added his name and signed his work as Marcelo Seltzer[3]. His work has been considered as conceptual; for blending fields like animation, illustration, music and literature on one single project.[4]

Marcelo have worked and collaborated with brands, festivals and other artists such as: Machaca Fest [5], BudLight, PANAM shoes[6], The War on Drugs (band), Bates Motel (TV series), Javier Blake, etc.
