Marc Bennetts is a British journalist and author, presently known for his extensive reporting on the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. He was formerly based in Moscow for The Times and The Sunday Times.[1] While there he covered the 2018 World Cup as well as the poisoning of Alexei Navalny.[2]

Bennetts is the author of two books: I'm Going to Ruin Their Lives, about Putin’s crackdown on the opposition, and Football Dynamo, about Russian football culture.[3] Online outlet openDemocracy described I'm Going to Ruin Their Lives as "an excellent primer for anyone trying to get a handle on Russian politics".

Bennetts has frequently appeared as an expert voice on television and radio, including the BBC and RTE.[4][5]
