Manu Ashokan is an Indian film director, in the Malayalam film industry.[1] He made his directorial debut in 2019 with the film Uyare, His second movie was Kaanekkaane in 2021 .[2]
Career
Manu Ashokan embarked on his film career in 2007 when he started as an assistant director in the film 'Anthipponvettam,' directed by A V Naryanan. This marked the beginning of his journey in the film industry, where he would go on to work with several prominent directors.
Throughout his career, Manu Ashokan gained valuable experience as an assistant and associate director, collaborating with accomplished filmmakers such as P T Kunjumuhammed, Shyju Khalid, Nandakumar Kavil, and Rajesh Pillai.
In 2019, Manu Ashokan made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film 'UYARE.' This marked a significant milestone in his career as he transitioned from being an assistant director to taking the helm as a director. 'UYARE' received critical acclaim for its storytelling and direction.
In 2021, Manu Ashokan continued his directorial journey with his second film, 'KAANEKKANE.' This further solidified his position in the film industry as a talented director.
