Early life and education
Dario was born in Manila, Philippines. He developed an interest in music during his youth, listening to soul, funk, and disco. He studied Political Science at De La Salle University, where he began DJing at student and private events.
Career
Early DJ work
Dario began DJing professionally in 1979. He worked at various Manila clubs throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including Faces and Giraffe. A 2011 profile in The Philippine Star highlighted his influence in early club scenes.[1]
Collective and underground involvement
In the mid-1990s, Dario helped organize events under the Brady Bunch collective, which hosted parties focused on house and electronic music. He also collaborated with NBK (Natural Born Klubbers), a group involved in the Manila after-party scene.

Dario has performed in regional and international music festivals. He represented the Philippines at ZoukOut Singapore in 2004 and has played in venues across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Spain.[2][3]

Hospitality and business ventures
Dario is a partner at Groove Manila Inc., a company that provides music programming for venues and events. He is currently the music director at The Spirits Library in Poblacion, Makati. In 2024, he co-founded Café Got Soul Boracay, followed by Got Soul Manila in 2025, a music-focused tapas bar in Bonifacio Global City.
Personal life
Dario is married to Dee Dario, a hospitality executive. The couple collaborates on venue and lifestyle projects.
