Manikanta Nayak (born 20 August 2005), is an Indian actor who works in Kannada films. He is son of Narasimha Nayak (Raju Gowda) who is current member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
Manikanta began his career by appearing in his first Kannada movie Guru Shishyaru (2022 film)[1] released on 23 September 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and fans.
Education
Manikanta Nayak was born in Shorapur Taluk, Yadgir District from Karnataka, the only son of Narasimha Nayak (Raju Gowda) and Maitra Nayak. He is Persuing commerce from Ramaiah PU College, Bengaluru.
Film career
Along with education, he developed interest in acting at early age. He started with short films and recreating famous movie scenes shot on mobile in his garden. Many of his recreated scenes went viral and even got attention of film directors which eventually lead to his casting in Guru Shishyaru (2022 film), his first film[2].
During Pandemic when his short acting skilled video went viral the video came to the attention of one of the finest Kannada film industry director Tharun Sudhir got the offer to act in Guru Shishyaru (2022 film)[3][4]. In 2021 when he got the offer from the director, he was still preparing for his metric final exams and successfully managed both his study by getting distinction result as well as in the film. The film received a massive positive reviews from the critics and fans as well.[5]
