Mandur is a small village of 206 hectares in Tiswadi Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mandur depends on GOA VELHA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mandur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Mandur's pin code is 403104[5], and village code is 00007800. The area of Mandur is segregated as 5.49 hectares irrigated area, 149.52 hectares unirrigated, the 20.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GOA VELHA and North Goa to sell bakery products and make their living.
