Man-Nung Fan (樊曼儂, January 24, 1946 ) is a Taiwanese flutist and composer, born in Chongqing, China.[1] Her father, Sheng-Hua Fan (Chinese: 樊爕華), served as the first conductor and leader of the Ministry of National Defense Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan. Her husband is the Taiwanese musician Po-yun Hsu (許博允).[1] Currently, she holds various positions including Adjunct Associate Professor at the National Taipei University of the Arts' Department of Music, Chairperson of the Republic of China Flute Association, and Director of the International New Aspect Culture and Education Foundation. She also composed the theme song "Galloping Golden Horse" for the Golden Horse Awards. In 2014, she was awarded the Special Prize in the Traditional and Artistic Publications category at the 25th Golden Melody Awards.[2]
