Mamawas is a small village of 566 hectares in Sojat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mamawas depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 90.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mamawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mamawas's pin code is 306001[4], and village code is 02416400. The area of Mamawas is segregated as 146 hectares irrigated area, 245 hectares unirrigated, the 152.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 23 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell ghee and make their living.
