Maloosar is a small village of 1198 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maloosar depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maloosar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Maloosar's pin code is 345026[4], and village code is 02059000. The area of Maloosar is segregated as 166 hectares unirrigated, the 386.75 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 645 hectare area not available for cultivation.
