Malmatha is a small village of 1782 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Malmatha depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 2.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Malmatha is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Malmatha's pin code is 314801[4], and village code is 03306900. The area of Malmatha is segregated as 8 hectares irrigated area, 136 hectares unirrigated, the 207.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1114.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.
