Malgré Tout Media is a digital magazine designed for equestrian enthusiasts by covering topics on equestrian lifestyle, riders, competitions, dressage as well as industry-related events and gatherings. The magazine is fully digital, free to read, and it contains only unbiased information.[1]

History

Malgré Tout Media was founded in 2015 in the Holbæk Municipality, part of the Zealand (Sjælland) area in Denmark. The founder of the company is Troels Højvig, who together with Jonas Rugh Hansen, put the basis of Malgré Tout as we know it today. For a long period, the magazine has been exclusively dedicated to Danish readers with an indisputable majority being women.

In the first years of existence, Malgré Tout focused on editorial creation. However, starting with the third year, they took upon the media role, in which Malgré Tout became an advertising platform for businesses in the equine industry.

In 2020, Malgré Tout decided to expand its horizons, and on September 1st 20202, the first English magazine was released.

Ownership, editorial team, and structure

The owner of the company is Troels Højvig. He works closely and shares ownership with Jonas Rugh Hansen. The rest of the team consists of four editorial professionals, a graphic designer, and a sales team. As the company has seen gradual growth, four other employees joined the team before the international launch of the magazine. Namely, three Marketing and Communications assistants and an experienced project manager. There is a flat structure in the company, meaning that all employees have an important say in the decision-making process.

Mission, Vision, and Goals

The embedded vision is to always offer a free, digital, and independent equestrian magazine.

"With this vision in mind, we want to focus our goals on maintaining high-quality content for our readers, which is easily available for everyone and reachable through all modern devices," says Troels Højvig.

The magazine is displayed by using Ipaper[2] which allows readers to have an interactive and easy-to-read experience. This digital concept is the core principle of Malgré Tout and a unique selling point in the branch.[3]

International expansion and articles

On September 1st, Malgré Tout launched its English version magazine. Along with new content and a wider audience in mind, the magazine has brought a new design to light. Interactive, innovative, and motion-pictures are a big part of what Malgré Tout Media is bringing to the international equestrian media.

So far, three magazines were released in the English version
