Makod is a small village of 359 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Makod depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 6.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Makod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Makod's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03430600. The area of Makod is segregated as 217 hectares irrigated area, 75 hectares unirrigated, the 22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Makod is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1830 and has total administration over 334 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
