Majgawan is a small village of 293 hectares in Balrampur Tehsil in Balrampur district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Majgawan depends on Tulsipur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Majgawan's pin code is 271206[4], and village code is 06622200. The area of Majgawan is segregated as 5.26 hectares irrigated area, 251.56 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 41.46 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Majgawan has One post office (Majgawan B.O). Majgawan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Majgawan is a census village in the district of Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1999 and has total administration over 298 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tulsipur (NP) and Balrampur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
