Maithna is a small village of 496 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maithna depends on NAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maithna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Maithna's pin code is 321605[4], and village code is 00942000. The area of Maithna is segregated as 310 hectares irrigated area, 157 hectares unirrigated, the 7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Maithna is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2380 and has total administration over 337 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of NAGAR and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
