Mahtawas is a small village of 550 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahtawas depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 433.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mahtawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mahtawas's pin code is 301704[4], and village code is 00754800. The area of Mahtawas is segregated as 433.32 hectares irrigated area, 70.31 hectares unirrigated, the 7.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 38.52 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mahtawas is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3047 and has total administration over 547 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
