Maheshwas Kalan is a small village of 924 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maheshwas Kalan depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maheshwas Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Maheshwas Kalan's pin code is 302012[4], and village code is 01569200. The area of Maheshwas Kalan is segregated as 436.64 hectares irrigated area, 225.78 hectares unirrigated, the 112.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 148.88 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chomu and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
