Maheshra is a small village of 732 hectares in Malarna Doongar Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maheshra depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maheshra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Maheshra's pin code is 322024[4], and village code is 01290700. The area of Maheshra is segregated as 299.85 hectares irrigated area, 104.08 hectares unirrigated, the 142.69 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 185.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sawai Madhopur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
