Maheshon Ki Dhani is a small village of 4735 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maheshon Ki Dhani depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maheshon Ki Dhani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Maheshon Ki Dhani's pin code is 345031[4], and village code is 02051400. The area of Maheshon Ki Dhani is segregated as 1318 hectares unirrigated, the 3355 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62 hectare area not available for cultivation.
