Mahesh Rajasekharan is a U.S. business leader and entrepreneur, currently serving as CEO of Cleo, a global ecosystem integration software solutions company.[1] [2]

Career

While its origins date to 1976, the modern Cleo was founded in 2012 when investors led by Rajasekharan acquired Cleo. Pre-acquisition, Cleo had a reputation as a mid-market managed file transfer (MFT) company. Recognizing that integration technology was lagging as eCommerce took root, Rajasekharan's vision was to build a platform to help companies connect and integrate applications and data—across not just their internal systems, but externally too with their partners, customers, and suppliers; i.e., a company's entire digital ecosystem.[3]

Since the acquisition, Rajasekharan transformed Cleo into an enterprise-class cloud integration software firm.[4] To achieve this goal, Rajasekharan expanded Cleo's offerings for data transformation, application integration, and eCommerce, evolving the platform to meet enterprise needs for scalability and reliability. Cleo is now a leader in the burgeoning ecosystem integration software category, attracting an equity investment in 2021 from H.I.G. Capital to drive accelerated growth.[5]

Awards

In 2022, Mahesh was named an EY "Entrepreneur of the Year" winner in the U.S. Midwest region.[6] For the 2023 round of awards, Rajasekharan is serving as a Judge for these annual awards.[7]

Memberships and Associations

In the philanthropic arena, Rajasekharan is on the board of the Austin, TX chapter of Pratham, a non-profit focused on providing education assistance to women, children, and other students in third-world countries.[8]
